hooters at Miami

our last lunch

we are sat in the world famous hooters having our last lunch ( Elona was not amused but finally agreed) we are quite near the airport in fact very near the planes are only about one hundred feet above us as they land
Andrew and Gordon were up at the crack of dawn and went for a swim again. really clear and warm water
the temperature now is just over 90 degrees nearly 33c but really hot and sweaty

our final night

today we drove from Orlando to Miami getting here with just enough time for a swim in the atlantic I have never been in such warm water it was really nice except for the massive thunderstorm.
during ourdrive down we drove through the heavist rain storm ever cars were parked under the bridges and we started to aquaplane at about thirty cras left the road and visibilty was about 50 feet maximum
our trip has been a been a great sucess not with out its problems but all came good in the end a real trip of three tales New York Disney and the travelling

rocket lift off

Wow woke up just in time to see the rocket lift off we are miles away from it but it still looked a fantastic sight take off time was 7,07am here about five minute ago so these might be some of the first pictures on the web

Friday 13 August

We had a different day doing some shopping and ended with piza in the bedroom hoping for an early night but its nearly eleven now
Its so different being here and today we hit our first traffic jam thousands of cars some as big as buses fuel is so cheap here its amazing filled our car up for less than £50 and its a big car not quite sure of the price as the gallon is a differnt size
there is a blast off from Kennedy tomorrow morning will set the alam but not sure if we will see it its only a small rocket so not to mach to miss would have been differnt if it had been a shuttle
More shopping tomorrow !!!!!!

Today and the last few day I have’d a great time it was an awesome time I went to Kennedy space centre it was fun but I wish I was in England. I have been I the pool in the hotel to cool down it’s fun I like swimming in the pool’s because it’s cold water. I have fun but I can’t wait to come home. I got a new watch which is cool and I got Lego star wars t-shirt Johnathon got a family guy shirt but I found a funny Lego batman shirt we found a place called wonder work’s which look’s cool and fun it is just down the road of our hotel which is cool. Which every one of my friend's were here because I am having a lot of fun.

Elona has friends through out the world

both boys and to be honest Elona and myself were shattered and slept until 10.00am today Friday
yesterday we went to Kennedy space centre which was a good as all american things and really interesting
yesterday we ate at Golden Coral and will not need to eat for another week its an all you can eat buffet and amazing the cost is not bad but the servings really too big

had our last day

we have had our last day in Disney what a time really good but in a very small way glad to be OUT last night we had a really good meal in Grand florinian resturant which was exceptionaly good
The boys are both shatterd so it might be a good have a nice restful day

the trip so far has been a huge hit although i feel a bit disneyed out and looking forward to getting out.
at the theme park there are masses of people (all in really good spirts) and constant piped music.
the queing is a pain but having got used to the fast pass system has made a differnce Andrew managed three goes on Everest you need to be prepared to walk a long way really confortable shoes are a must as is a water bottle and as was proved today plastic macs you dont need the warmth just a splash cover as the heavens opened today

our last full day in Disney

wow we went to Typhoon lagoon water park today what an adventure every 90 seconds a wave 10 feet high was unleashed and struck every one in the pool it was high enough to surf on and is used for that some times
there was also a cold salt water where you could swim with the fish and even hire scuba equipment which we had too it was so cool although I used my air up twice as fast as the boys did. we then returned to Animal Kingdom and had our evening meal in Asia really good

Today we came into animal kingdom loge it has a pool i went in the pool three times we went to so far. Yesterday we went to blistered we went on a really big slide it I went really fast and we went on a lazy ride which went around the hole park I found a double doughnut ring inflatable were you can lie down on it I can’t wait to get back to England because it is very hot in orlado.

johnathons Diary

On the last 3 days of the holiday was very nice because we were on the train going from New York to Miami Florida it was about a 2 day train trip. On the way we met some people and did some things. We had 2 cabins were fairly small but roomy at the top. The dinner on the train was very nice but not as good as at home. If you are going on a train bring an iPod or I pad whatever......
Drink lots and lots of water and have a good sleep
Brink lots of dollars because everything is expensive but worth it
The air is warm so bring a fan. The must have things to bring are
Sat nav or a gps device because maps are old but good if all else fails but it won’t.

Ok we have been in Orlando for a week now
On the first day we went to the new Miami airport where we got our car (very flashy) it was a 4 seater saloon and was a Chrysler.
After that we stayed in a hotel then the next day drove to Orlando.
When we got there we stayed in there we stayed in a hotel and played golf, went swimming, and brought some stuff. The next day we went to Disney land and had our car valet parked and took our luggage into the animal kingdom hotel where we looked for our room then found it and put our stuff away and went for dinner then the next day we went to the Animal Kingdom theam park and did everything we could do in a day .

its Friday and we are having fun

its Friday morning we have had three full on days at the differnt parks today we are havign a slower day and probaly going to blizzard beach swimming
it really is a different world 62,000 emploees from nearly every country its mind blowing we went to Epoct yesterday the boys loved it.

Travelocity

we have made it to Orlando and waiting for the morning to start the Disney adventure Orlando is like Torquay on steroids we have only had an evening here but its fascinating
Last night we had tea in a Chinese all you can eat buffet and boy was it good.
I think I should put the negatives as well and the Miami part was a mistake originally to save us travelling out from Heathrow and back to Gatwick I was surprised how far Miami is from Orlando a good five hours travelling and it really isn’t that special taken that we have to make that trip 3 times I bit of an expensive in time mistake it would have been better to have made the journey Heathrow to Gatwick.
The weather is also a bit of a surprise I knew it would be hot but it also rains well floods not for long but really heavy rain.
We had had problems with emails of course on the train for 25 hours we had no connection at all but it seems that the netbook is not sending emails so we have to read them on one computer and send them on the other never mind could be worse
Its 7.00 am and time to wake the sleeping hoar up so

Today we went on a train on a train journey to Miami and then we got of the train and got a car Chrysler 300 it is quit big and the boot is huge it can fit 5 suit case’s in and when you change gear it sounds like a Honda Nissan at full speed it is a nice sound to listen to but i can’t wait till we get to Disney world because we get to go on a ride called wet and wild and get to see the fireworks go of at night it will be cool so see you tomorrow.

Its 6.30 am and we are at the three quarter mark on our epic train journey. To say I slept well would be a lie, but I rarely do, but what an experience. we had booked our meal for 9.00 pm and sat in the dining car for well over an hour so it was dark when we returned to our cabins known officially as roomettes, incidentally the meal was excellent a really fresh green salad followed by the traditional steak but with baked potatoes with a cheese cake desert to die for. Andrew thought it tasted just like the Milky bar yogurt. all washed down with a glass or two of red wine courtesy of BA. we returned to our rooms to find them even more like a space module my bed was six foot six long so I even had room to stretch my toes out. A little narrow but not overly and enough switches to keep Andrew quiet for hours ,
The boy’s bed dropped down from the ceiling meaning I could just about sit up in my crib. I had a truly remarkable sleep I am not sure if it was the wine, the food or just the ambience but I had the most remarkable dreams waking about every two hours to reflect on the events my mind had taken me through in the preceding 100 or so minutes each dream appearing more vivid than the last.
The train was surpringly quiet just that “mournful whistle” that the driver seems to give at any and all occasions it’s no wonder that sounds appears in so country and western songs I even was writing lyrics in my head during the night all of which has disappeared with the daylight.
I can’t get over the space outside, there were times when there were no lights visible in any direction for what appeared to hours but in reality was probably minutes I don’t think we have been around a corner yet and as for hills it’s obvious that America does not do hills well not the bits we have been through
It’s now 1100 am and we had had breakfast which was typically American large and very sweet which would have been nicer had it not been for the woman sat directly in front of me who was eating when we sat down and was till eating when we left, by the size of her rear end it was not the first time either.
We have just stopped at Jackonsonville and were allowed off the train to stretch our legs and boy did the heat hit us
